It’s finally time for a new phone system.
Before you replace it with a newer version of the same old thing, stop and consider the impact that this decision will have on the success of your business.
Did you know that the average lifespan of a premises-based phone system is 5 years? If you purchase hardware today, it is going to become obsolete – it’s a question of when, not if. What will you do when you find out that the features your business relies on are no longer being upgraded or supported?
With a virtual PBX communication system from TPx, you’ll do far more than replace one phone system with another. You’ll gain a flexible, feature-rich Unified Communications solution that will unleash productivity within your organization.
KCCi provides you with everything you need to run your business communications successfully at scale. From robust voice features and powerful messaging tools to powerful analytics and dashboards - KCCi has you covered.
UCx enables you to quickly and easily equip your employees with advanced communications tools, without distracting you from running your expanding business.
There’s no hardware to upgrade in order to take advantage of the latest features and technologies. TPx regularly provides upgrades through software changes that happen automatically in the background – at no additional cost to you. Of course, we’ll notify you of any new capabilities as they come online, so you can quickly use them to support your employees and better serve your customers.
UCx’s ability to “auto-evolve” over time offers a huge advantage over premises-based phone systems, which often require annual maintenance fees or large one-time upgrade fees in order to stay current.
Even if you’re jaded about technology, once you see all of the advanced features and functionality that are available with UCx, you’ll be seriously impressed by the impact it can have on your business. And the best part is you can activate only those features that you need to make your company more productive.
It starts with HD voice, the clearest a business call can get. But that’s just scratching the surface. You can send instant messages and view your colleagues’ availability in real-time. You can place a call from your cell phone and have it appear as a call from the main office. You can have your voicemails automatically forwarded to your email. You also have the ability to integrate your phones with Outlook or your CRM system.
Basically, there isn’t much you can’t do with UCx.
UCx is built on the high-quality VoIP service that TPx is known for – but it’s far more than a business phone system. Here’s how it will completely transform the way you do business:
Your time is better spent focused on your business, not on those boxes and wires in the closet. Contact us to schedule an interactive UCx demo with one of our experts.
Before you take the plunge and upgrade your phone system, take the time to find answers to these 9 key questions.
#1: Costs
Check what is included and not included in the minutes bundle. Are there any exit clauses in the service contract? Do you have to rent the phones for longer than the service contract?
#2: Flexibility
Can you add or remove users during the service contract? Do you have to pay for devices or for users?
#3: Disasters
Can the system divert calls to mobile devices when the access network is down? Are there restrictions in the features available when people are remote?
#4: Consistency
Are all features available to remote workers, or do some get removed? Is the quality the same? For example, some mobile systems could have poor voice quality if the network is congested.
#5: Usability
Are the features the same on the phone, desktop, and mobile devices, or are they different? Do you still have to rely on a desk phone?
#6: Professionalism
Does the system support features such as auto attendant, music on hold, automatic call distribution, and call queuing, so you never miss a call?
#7: Productivity
Does the system have features like conferencing, room-based collaboration, and instant messaging and presence (IM&P)?
#8: Mobility
Does the system support iOS and Android devices? Can it support all of the productivity features when users are mobile?
#9: Maintenance
Does the system have web-based user self-administration, allowing you to control features from a single web page? Does the service support diagnostics, so the service provider can quickly identify any issues that you may run into?
Be sure to ask about the underlying technologies that the service providers have in place, as this allows them to innovate rapidly and drive the biggest impact for your business. The fanciest features or the lowest price won’t do you much good if quality, reliability, or security are not core components of the platform your service relies on.

WeDo Technologies, a worldwide leader in revenue assurance and fraud management, announced that TPx Communications, a US-based premier provider of unified communications, managed IT and network connectivity, has selected its RAID Fraud Management Solution (FMS) to protect its expanding network and its customers from fraud.
With more than 80,000 enterprise customers, which include the country’s top financial services, education, government, retail and healthcare providers, TPx prides itself on guaranteeing 5-nines connectivity and bringing the latest technology advances to its customers.
Recently, the company was the first managed services provider in the US to offer 4G/LTE managed service offerings to business customers. While TPx sees an exciting future with these new technology developments, it also sees how complexity in the networks leaves it vulnerable to fraud.
The rise of LTE networks is providing huge industry opportunities for communication service providers that help better support customers, each day, every day. There is a high level of awareness on how complex fraud prevention really is, as traffic volumes escalate and fraudsters become more sophisticated. It is essential to ensure and use the best in class tools and managed services that can support end customers’ services, in a fully protected network environment.
“WeDo is pleased that TPx has joined our roster of clients in the U.S,” said Thomas Steagall, Vice President North America and Caribbean, WeDo Technologies. “By recognizing the challenges that new digital networks and services are posing to their legacy fraud prevention solutions, TPx is taking a proactive approach to protecting themselves from potentially expensive and wide-ranging threats that may be difficult to contain, as we’ve seen from the increasing occurrence of ransomware attacks.”
WeDo Technologies provides a simpler, faster, smarter approach to managing telecom fraud.
RAID FMS enables CSPs to gain a holistic view of fraud by monitoring internal and external information from a single platform. The WeDo Technologies’ Fraud Management software system is a flexible application that runs on top of WeDo’s RAID Platform, enabling CSPs to integrate siloed data sources, as well as accommodate different strategies and operational requirements for diverse portfolios and product lines across the entire organization.
RAID can help stop losses from fraudulent activity, before they occur. By combining multiple detection methods – a hybrid rule based approach and machine learning – CSPs get greater accuracy and better predictive performance. RAID is available on-premise, as a managed service and via the Cloud. Visit RAID.Cloud for a free 60 day trial.

Bypass fraud is the most damaging and costly type of fraud and particularly affects countries where the costs of terminating international calls are very high.
Also known as ‘landing fraud’ or ‘grey routing’, this fraud is carried out through manipulating call records to be recognized as local calls. This fraud type exploits immobile to mobile and landline gateway equipment to hijack inbound international calls while transferring them through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to the mobile network.

If your company still doesn’t have a full public cloud policy due to security and compliance issues, WeDo Technologies provides an alternative in private and hybrid cloud models to deploy RAID with its prebuilt risk management modules or apps.
